This question comes up over and over again. Your rating is determined by other mylot users, if your star rating goes down it is because people gave you a (-). If your earnings go down it is because Mylot deducted some money. either because one of your discussions was deleted or discussions to which you responded were deleted. Mylot earnings are determined by a formula which only Mylot knows. Your earnings will fluctuate also when Mylot does an audit or cleanup. They can go up or down. You could check the Mylot guidelines again to get a better understanding.

As what I've known, the earnings here decrease because one of your discussions was deleted or you have responded to a discussion that has been deleted by myLot staff for violating some rules and regulations.
Your earnings does not decrease even if you are given a negative (-) rating. When myLot members rate the post or discussion with (+) or (-), the star rating is only affected, not the earnings.

I know mine can jump up or down, but has done both. I understand when posts get deleted from days ago and Mylot has given me credit for them, they have to take it away. That makes since, but what about when we gain point or/and earnings? I have done both.
So my theory is this…
Sometimes the system glitches and we don't get credit for post as we post to. Have you noticed this? Let's say you have 600 posts, you reply to a new discussion, and you end up with still having 600. Well I have also noticed the opposite of this as well, I get a point when I had already replied to that discussion once before and received a point.
Ok now my theory, it's these glitches working them selves out that is causing the removal or the addition of points as well as our earnings. I think the points adjust one day, then the system adjust the earnings later.
What do you think? Have you noticed these things as well?
