How would you react if someone say something bad about your parents?

what would you do? and they said it in your face.. I don't know if I reacted normally, I couldn't help myself but to tell them to back off and go to h*ll. 'Never meant to but they push me to the limit. I couldn't stand it. Do you think it's normal or i just overreacted?

of course i will get mad at them. cause they dont have the right to say something bad about my parents. i would rather shout at them or just turn my back to them and say nothing at all but deep inside im in pain.

Previously I often faced this kind of situation with my brother-in-law, when he started saying bad things to my parents I just agreed and supported his words.
At one time, he called me for justification because of my weird reaction, that just keep him wondering for my uncommon behavior. He asked me for why? I said I've learned psychology, that the imperative objective is to get you STOP from saying bad words to my parents is either pro or contra. Which one thats work. If I take contra, I will have quarrel with him and exacerbate the worse situation as my elder sister is his wife. So I have to take pro step. The main objective is to him STOP.
Since that day and for now he justly nice/good to me and my parents.

Thanks for your revisiting to my poor texts. I'm now 46 years old(midlife) so have to take smart way and not the clever way. Clever will take nowhere but smart way will take us somewhere.

I would surely not happy about this if someone does so. I would have to tell him to be nice and shup up since he doesn't know my parents well. What's more, it is not polite to judge someone's parents before one's face.

I would really be hurt and will smash the face of whoever talk bad about my parents hehehe Nah not really i'd just tell get a life and whether its true or not its none of her business. I wouldn't level down on her.

yes I would be really upset and want to beat them up, but it would also depend on what they said and whether or not it was true. You really can't get mad at someone for speaking the truth no matter who it is. I would rather someone be honest than to talk about my parents to someone else behind my back. But it must be valid and it must not be to hurt my feelings. Or else they get hurt.
