Ice Cream Sundaes

When I was a child my uncle took me to the little country store nearest to our house one day. I remember him asking what I wanted. I replied that I would like to have ice cream. He bought me this confection which came in one of those little cardboard containers. I laughed at the name "Sundae" that was on it. It came with a little wooden spoon so I opened it and dug in. It was truly "love at first bite." I thought I would never again taste anything quite so heavenly. I allowed myself these special treats many times over the years, but have not had one since I can't remember when. I am thinking right now that the next time I go out I will treat myself to a sundae.

i love sundaes especially strawberry sundaes with fresh strawberries on top.i also like oreo cookie sundaes,they are my favorite.have one for me when you get one,or i will have one for you.who ever gets one first.lol take care

I love Ice Cream Sundaes'.However they've become outrageously expensive around here.You can purchase an entire half-gallon for the same price as a sundae.
My favorite is a Banana Split with five scoops of ice cream ;two vanilla,two strawberry and a single chocolate surrounded by a whole banana with toppings of marshmellow,pineapple and chocolate syrup with walnuts and whipped cream on top.

That sounds delightfully sinful and calorie-ridden, pismeof. I used to buy them off of the Mr. Softee trucks when they came around when I was a teenager.
