Why do you think a person in UNIFORM has an effect on your opinion toward them?

Why is it that we "see" a person differently when they are in a UNIFORM? And what is it about a man in a "Fireman's Uniform"? And a woman in a "Nurse's Uniform" and a "Maid's Uniform"? What is it about Uniforms?

I think you see someone in uniform and its like they demand respect. I am here to tell you that when I see a man in uniform i know they are respected and I think a lot of people think they are honest.

They are all people. It's the job they do that should be respected (as long as they don't abuse the power they have)

i read somewhere recently that many women are more attracted to a man in uniform than any other ordinary guy...i dont know if this is true or not, but i suppose that if a guy is clean cut and shaven, that he would be more attractive than someone who is not?!!

I am definitely attracted to a man in a fireman uniform, but he has to be good looking and not too old for me :)

For me I think highly of those people in uniform, and that would on the specific uniform they are wearing. If they are military men I think of them as heroes, nurses I think of them as tough and people able to give care and love. If they are firemen I look of them as heroes as well ready to give their life.

I think of them as people. Sure, their jobs are highly respected, but not all of them are "good" people. Over 90% of police men and women are corrupt, and a lot of them "abuse" their power. A Uniform shouldn't give the individual person instant respect, it's the good job they do that should be respected.
