why we see future events in dreams??

many of us must agree with me that many a time, we atonce realize that yes, we have seen this particular present situation or scene sometime before, then we recollect that we have seen it in a dream some day before. why this happens? does this mean we can somehow see future? could we be able to device a method to see future? if yes what can be its impacts on us and society
