Does being an Afrikaner from South African make it harder to be accepted as a permanent resident in the States and does that have something to do with the former apartheid and the Us. Immigration has decided to make it more difficult for for them to come into the States? This man was an honest and decent man, not a criminal.
So what is the policy of the States regarding the immigration of citizens from South Africa? I thought the policy regarding Canadians was strict.

I don't think it has anything to do with apartheid. Most Americans have forgotten about the apartheid.I think it is American's fear of terrorism running amok.Ever since September 11 the government has been trying to close the borders to everyone illegal and legal.

I hope they do not let illegal people in, but it is the legal that I am worried about. What happens if a wholesale revenge persecution erupts or even if life becomes so hard that they have to leave? It is the same in Canada, what if the pro homosexual sentiment erupts so that Christians, Jews, and others of the major religions feel their lives are in danger if they stay. Will the US let them in?
