Nope. I haven't purchased a book online.. Only in bookstores. I usually plan out what book that I will be buying since I don't want to be roaming around the book store and look for some books that I am interested in and buy whatever puts my interest in. :) But if the author is "Sidney Sheldon" , then definitely with no hesitation.. buy the book and read it. His novels are about crime, fiction, crossing continents, finding love, fighting for love and making love. :) Best of luck to you!

I've never bought anything online. I usually buy books from the secondhand bookstore near school, because it's cheaper than buying new books. It's hard to find stuff I like there, but sometimes I get lucky, like one time I found a copy of Fellowship of the Ring, and another time they had some Harry Potter books there. I don't buy secondhand comics, though. I buy new ones from the comic book store.

I don't have a habit of buying books, don't have much interest.. But yeah, I do read them when someone gifts me one.. And as far as those are concerned, I have read a lot of the, coz I constantly get books as gifts along with other things from my cousins who travel a lot around the world.. They just pick whatever books they find suitable for me, and gift them to me... And I acknowledge them by reading those books...lol

i buy my books online for the most part. heaven forbid somebody lets me step foot in an actual book store..i could spend all day in there and come out with a few hundred dollars worth..ive no doubt.
i like buying online cause its very rare that i cannot find the exact title im looking for..and i tend to have a list written up of the next books in series and such..most online retailers also let you keep a "wish list" which i have full of books lol!
every once in a while while grocery shopping i spot a book that looks interesting, but that isnt very often since the grocery stores mostly carry romances or mysteries..which i dont read. my favorties are sci-fi and fantasy and thats just not a genre that the stores are willing to fill their little itty bitty area of books.

If you are talking about story books then I think the best way is to join a liberary or bring books on rent because once you have read the book then you loose interest in it and you want to look for another more interesting book unless you have a hobby of collection of books. I have joined a rent a book policy. I read and give it back in exchange to another. It is nice to read that you have interest in reading books, because after coming of internet, people have forgotten about reading books. Have a nice day.

With the ability to find information on the internet and so very little time to read; I don't buy too many books any more. If I do buy a book; usually it's from some site online that I trust to carry moral and inspirational reading.

I try to avoid book stores. I also could spend a fortune in there for books that will take me months, even years, to get around to reading. I will check out the sidewalk sales as I can get brand new books for as low as $2 (which I did last month). I try and stay away from used book stores as well because their prices are still a little pricey compared to garage sales or thrift stores. When there is a garage sale in the area I send one of my children down and tell them to let me know if there are any books. That is usually the BEST place to get books cheap.
However, our library has a set of shelves in the basement filled with books that are for sale at the cost of a donation. Meaning, whatever you want to pay. And some of the books are brand new.
