Do You Respond To People...

Just wondering... - Just wondering if ppl answer ppl who respond to their discussions.

I was wondering if most MyLot members answer responses to their discussions. Do you respond to them as you get them or do you do them all in one lump once a day or do you wait till you have a whole page to respond to? Do you tell ppl thank you for responding? What about the ppl who comment and you can't think of anything polite to say to them? I try to answer mine at least once a day. I go through and respond to them and thank them for the comment. I think its polite and shows your interested in their opinions. If they are really hateful or rude then I just skip it and go on. Sometimes when I've cooled down I'll go back and at least say thank you for taking the time to respond...something like that. :) What about you? AT PEACE WITHIN

I don't really have a system for answering my replies. Sometimes I catch them as they pop up while other times I get them in the mornings or in the evenings. I do try to respond to all that leave a comment, but once I resolved it, I don't worry about it any more. Don't get me wrong I read them and still rate them, but I don't worry about leaving comments at that point. I buried one of my new posts once by leaving comments on an older post and it took a month before it got a reply. As for the rude comments, I pop off cause well, I am still learning restraint at this point. I will report them though, I like to keep my discussions clean so other's don't come across this trash and think it's ok to do else where, you know? So I get it removed but only the troll responses. If they don’t agree, cool it’s a different point of view, but the ignorant stuff some people leave for points, nope it goes so they just wasted their time.

I agree that its allright to have a different point of view but some ppl care it too far and it turns into a fight. Thanks for posting!! AT PEACE WITHIN

I put comment only to those who I feel makes sense to me, who added and caught my attention because of the way they responded or how they made their response. At times, I comment because I was impressed and that I learned something new from a different point of view. For my responses that don't receive any comment from the threadhost itself, even a week or month of activity, I just skip them and never again respond on their posts. They are not a loss for me, I can still find more discussions to respond at that would take time discussing with me!;) Just choose which response you have to comment at, as long as people see you spend time reading and commenting with it then they would understand you. There are other ways of putting comments, rather than saying "thank you's." I believe that it is against the guidelines, so make sure you put more than "thanks" under them!;)

I understand that some ppl don't have the time or don't like to respond to every response in a discussion and it's not a big deal to me...I like to answer ppl and let them know I like that they took time to answer my discussions. Thanks for posting!! AT PEACE WITHIN

I always try to respond to all the replies to my discussions. It depends on how long I'm on the computer as to whether I answer them as they come, or all at one time. I think it's only right and polite to respond to your replies. It lets people know that you are paying attention to them, and it shows them respect.

I always try to reply to the responses people have given to me as a sign of respect to that person that they took the time to respond to my discussions...problem is, I have to confess I sometimes get behind in doing so---and due to silly things like, having during this summer having bad electrical storms and felt it safer to shut down my computer--LOL--this really back-logged me..but I try to reply...sooner or later even if it's just to say thank you

Hi,twoey68! I always say"thank you" to the users who posted responses to my discussions. But adding comments to their responses depends on me.Sometimes I like add comments as soon as possible but sometimes I prefer to thank the last response.Well,I'm weird maybe, but I will add comments to everyone.

Sometimes a responder is so off the wall I can't possibly think of anything to say to them :) Luckly I don't run into that too often. My thank you's tend to depend on my mood too...some days I'm more talkative than others. Thanks for posting!! AT PEACE WITHIN

Twoey, The first thing i do is to comment to the responses i get. I just make sure to do it unless i receive hordes of responses, which i hardly get. So, its easier for me than ppl getting innumerable responses. I comment to all responses except for YES or NO. I enjoy to reason with rsponses which opposes my view. It gets interesting and eventually a good discussion. Smiles...

I try to do this as I get them, but I do not comment ALL the replies, coz sometimes I just dont have anything to say or add. I do think it is the civil thing to do but I do not get upset if people dont do it.

Whenever I get responses on my discussions I enjoy reading them and try to give comment to them if I am still online. Normally I will try my best to reply them as soon as possible if I am not busy. I will go for traveling or other business every now and then. In this case I will normally give comments to the responses as soon as I am back to home again. If I have tried my best to respond sincerely, this mean that I appreciate and be grateful to their kindness. I think I still can do without mentioning the words Thank You.

I try to respond when someone responds to my discussions, but my life has been so hectic lately, I haven't much time to respond to my friends discussions let alone start any of my own. I do appreciate when anyone responds to my discussions or acknowledges my response.

I do strive to comment on all of the responses I receive from my discussions, twoey, however, sometimes the responses are redundant, so I'll just rate them. In the case where a person gives a rude response I just ignore it most of the time. A case in point: There was a discussion a couple of weeks ago(not mine), and I responded to it giving my views. A fellow member did not like my response and sent me several nasty e-mails. I responded to the first few, but soon grew bored with it all. I told them that as far as I was concerned the subject was closed. It has been a week since I last heard from this person, and I was surprised to go to my mail today and found that she wants to start it all over again. I'm not here to play these silly games with anyone. Once I voice my opinion I consider my job done.

I always respond to people's comments and responses. It is simply a polite thing to do. I like it when someone does this for me; so of course, I will do it for them. I try to do all my responses at one time. It is more organized for me that way. sunny waters

I respond whenever I have a chance to do it. I do respond to everything people say to me, no matter what. Until it just shouldn't.can't go on. I respond to others responses to their own discussions too. It's about conversations. so if you don't respond you aren't really having much of a conversation.

Well if the only thing I have to say is "thanks" then I don't usually bother responding. It's actually one of the "Don't!"'s on mylots discussion guidelines. They say not to thank everyone who responds because it won't increase your earnings or anyone elses'. But yeah. it's definitely nice to respond and converse!

If I have a good response to a response, I usually do. Sometimes, it is hard to come up with a meaningful comment, but I try to have something worthwhile to say.

I usually will respond back to them when I get an email from mylot stating their response. Then I go threw that discussion and keep it up to date. If I can't think of anything to say, I might write something like "thanks for your comments" or something like that. I try to write to each person who has responded to me.

I do, but as I found out the last few days - you shoudn't wait to do so - if possible - I have so many now - that's all I'm doing pretty much - I start a discussion here and there and answer a few - but mostly right now I'm responding to those I have to catch up on....

yup I respond when I'm free and would like to keep my brain working and buzzing. yeah, it's always great and polite to respond to those who have contributed to the discussion. I take it like an acknowledgement. afterall if someone has taken the time to respond, we can take the time to thank them, even if it means no extra earnings.
