I don't know if you will consider this but here goes...I worked in a veneer factory(twice actually but one was bad). When people would come into the place they would always ask us "how in the world can you stand it in here?"The glue was formaldehyde glue.(in the summer they had to mix it with ammonia so we had to breathe that too)First in the area I worked right on the hot press,it was always 120 degrees. The glue gave off a wicked smell. It burned your eyes so bad you could baely keep your eyes open all day.You also could not breathe well all day either. It is hard to describe how bad it was.I worked there for 10 years.

Yes I am afraid of getting cancer.I quit smoking in 1990 when I got another job. There is nothing I can do to prevent cancer. If it comes,it comes.

i don't think I've worked anywhere weird. I had a job in a mall arcade. I've worked in a coffee shop and a clothing store and a radio station and a library and bar and... I don't even know what I would consider a weird place to work.

The only ones I worked together at were a daycare and a bar...and the library and a radio station. But I currently work at just the library.

Well this is not really weird except for when in my life it occurred. I was a night clerk in a motel one Summer when I was in high school. So what makes it at least unusual is for a sixteen year old to be doing that type of job. It was out on a two lane highway on the edge of town and I worked from 11 pm to 7 am. Mostly it was truckers who checked in when I was on duty. However, there were really very few check-ins and since the owner required me to stay awake, I got a lot of reading done. One trucker asked me about where he could find a woman if you know what I mean, he must have been able to tell that I was very young so I don't know why he would expect me to know that.
