Wife disappears ?

A husband and wife, newly wed were on their way to a hill station in a train, when the husband finds his wife has disappeared when he gets up in the morning. The wife was sleeping on the upper berth, so can she be kidnapped without waking up her husband or the other travellers ? Was she done in by the husband himself. Did she even board the train ? What do you think could have happened ?
