when did you become comfortable in your relationship?

I'm not talking about developing feelings for someone, I'm talking about being able to be around them with no makeup, farting, or doing number 2 in the bathroom. Were you comfortable enough to do that from the start or did it take a while? or are you still not able to do things in front of your mate? I know for me it was probably 3 or 4 months. Part of it was because I had just had surgery and my boyfriend wanted to take care of me so he got to see some gross things with me barely able to move and take care of myself. It also brought us closer together.

It took me a while, as this is my first serious relationship and the first time I have ever shared living quarters with my partner.
A 'while' for me, though is only about... 1 or 2 months, as my boyfriend and I were already friends before we got together as an item.

that is about the same with me, this isn't the first serious relationship, but it is the first serious relationship I have had where we live together. I guess when you live together you really don't have a choice but to be yourself and get comfortable around that person because you both want to feel at home. It took me about that long too. Thanks for responding.
