People love to show their phones to other people and they especially love to show one another the features and all the things that they can do on their phones. I think that cell phones are a clothing accessory, a status symbol, a toy, a mini organizer, a casino or video game, a TV, an MP3 player, overpriced, and packed full of unneccessary features. When people first started getting cell phones the cost was preemptively high. Now that everyone has them they jack up the price on them for making them "trendy" "thin" and fun. I personally do not play games on my phone, I rarely use any of the features other than the lock, and occassionally the alarm feature. However I don't feel deprived because while everyone is wearing down their cell battery playing games, if someone calls to talk to me on my phone it will do just what it is supposed to do, Ring!

yes you are absolutely right that cellphones are just overpriced accessories, but nevertheless people buy them because of the attitude that people now more than ever love to show off their toys to their neighbors.^^
people love cellphones because today it's a necessity and often times it can really help you when you are in a pinch.
