Went to the market like last week to buy some cat litter. Couldn't buy the one I usually do so I had to pick something new out. I figured I would try that pine pellet one, where the pellets break down after being soaked with urine.
Well a couple of days ago, I was noticing a urine smell in the livingroom. I discovered where it was yesterday and cleaned that area and made it so that the patch of carpet was inaccessible.
This morning, my husband notices a big wet patch behind the wood stove.
I told him it is the one female cat doing it because she is not liking that cat litter.
So to get her back on track, I will run back to market this morning and buy the other cat litter (I saw it on the shelf yesterday).
I am looking for feedback on the best way for cleaning the pee and removing the odor so that the spot is not used again.
If you are using vinegar and warm water, what type of vinegar are you using? How many parts vinegar to how many parts water? Are you spraying it on and letting it dry or are you soaking the pee-soaked area?
Or
Are you using something besides vinegar?
Thanks...
