Weaning My 12 month old son

Calling out to all the nursing moms around the world.
I am a 35 year old stay at home mom with a 12 1/2 month son that still is nursing. Seeking advice on the best way to wean him. He is starting to bite and teething. I really think he is using me as a human pacifier. He is unable to drink cow's milk. So moms if you have any sincere advice PLEASE respond. Thanks Mom want to wean 12 month old son from Nursing.

My twins nursed till they were 14 months old. I had had enough at the point! I just wanted to be able to sit for five minutes without some one latching on! It was hard the first couple days but they did fine. I just quit giving it to them... I know it's not recommended to wean cold turkey, I did get really really engorged but it worked. ;)

We just went straight to whole milk in a sippy cup at meal times. Juice with breakfast and water between meals. They ate everything we did.
