Fried Chicken - This sure would taste good right about now

The company I work for provided a delivered lunch, which included 600 pieces of chicken, beans and potatoe salad, when it was time for my schedule lunch, guess what? It was gone!! All of it!! We do not have more than 100 people working in here and this is pure greed. Act like they never eat, I know payday is Friday but come on. Now I know why I don't associate with them. Am I being to hard on them?

Wow! Basically that is terrible, this one job ordered Pizza for us, but I am SO happy what they did: the Manager stood by the Pizzas and told the people to take two and ONLY two pieces and if there were extras that you could come and get more. That way EVERYONE got pizza and there were no greedy workers trying to take more. At the time I thought it was rude, but now I see it as being fair and preventing other workers from getting more than their fair share. I believe the manager should have monitored the chicken so that people took only 2 pieces and ONLY TWO pieces, after that then people could get seconds. What do you think? Pablo

I think I would be kind of upset also, mjl. Some of them must have had 3 or 4 pieces of chicken! That is just too much. You're right, they must really be pigs. I've seen people act like this at a gathering-and it is not pretty. Some people are just greedy by nature. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy any of the feast.

That is so uncalled for. People can be so greedy. It was a nasty trick and if the company gets wind of it, it could be the end of them buying lunch.

Wow that is greedy. I would be bummed to and burned about it. Chicken is my FAVORITE food. So 99 or maybe less hogged 600 peices of chicken that is at least 6 pieces each or more depending on if there were others who didn't get any like you. Not to mention the Salad and Beans. Pretty selfish. Wonder how many others who had lunch when you do didn't get any either?

I worked for a major brokerage firm for just about 7 years before relocating and becoming homemaker/wife. Whenever we held an office function, be it a birthday party or a going away party or a luncheon, we always ALWAYS made sure that EVERYONE had received a plate of food or cake or whatever. In each and every business, there is always a person or those individuals who "grab and run" and I do have to believe that the disappeared food was not consumed in the office but rather placed in "doggie bags" to be consumed at home later so that dinners would not have to be prepared. Next time you have this type of lunch, check your office refrigerator and I am sure you will find your portion of lunch stashed in there!

Greety people - This is only a picture of one of the pizza's that was delivered that day
We had a similar function about a month ago and 40 large pizza's where delivered at different times that's a least 400 slices of pizza, security was breeched and people actually called home the kids where in our break room consuming our food. Drive thru cars, with pizza in the front seat. People on bicycles coming through and eating pizza in the parking lot. They did there best to monitor the food, but who they had in charge I think consumed most of it, I did look in the refrigerator and YEP there it is.

This is an act of greed but don't be hard on them cause you still don't know who the culprit are. Why don't you tell the administration or whoever responsible for you about this so that there will be an action taken.

That is just wrong behavior, plain and simple... when I was working a formal job, I always though that people who are co-workers should look out for each other... guess I was wrong about that... At least you know how to gauge these people, and their actual behavior is out from behind the secret veil that most people put up... No, you are not being hard on them. Sometimes it's very, very wise to put a distance between yourself and people who behave badly! :)

How disappointing. Stuff like this has happened at places I've worked, although never to this extent - more that there will be staff potlucks, and people who do not bring things will still join in and take some of the food, even getting their food before some of the people who did bring food.

That's too bad. Sounds like low morale at your company. Now that you know your co-workers do not care about others I guess it's not a good idea to expect anything will be left if you are last in line. The 'top brass' needs to know that this problem exists.
