Can Karma work, even if you don't believe in it? What's your philosophy?

Cosmic Karma! It never fails, even if you don't believe in it. Right? Pay it forward. Do you always get rewarded for doing the right thing and helping others out? My philosophy is that you can't receive a blessing with a clenched fist! If I'm so busy holding onto the things I have, I am likely to miss out on the wonderful blessings waiting for me. My blessings arrive when I open my hand to give help to others. That's just something I've found to be true in my life. It might not be true for everyone, but it is a philosophy that has served well to remind me to give first to others so that blessings will follow. Of course everyone doesn't agree on the orgin of blessings. Some people call it Karma or good luck. Whatever you call it, the concept of "Pay it forward" works for lots of people. When you do a good thing for someone else, do you receive a good thing in return from someone else? Do you find that you have good luck when you do good for others? When you get your reward, do you call it a blessing? Karma? Good luck? What's your philosophy on this?

Hi there. I believe in karma, "what goes around, comes around" or "What you give out, you get back", in saying that, Ive done alot of good and got back in many ways, big and small rewards... We sometimes get rewarded and we dont even notice until later on or a few days, weeks, months or years later... I believe karma works wether you choose to believe it or not...

Thankyou for understand what I was trying to say. As well, I believe in the boomerang effect of good deeds. What goes around, comes around. Sometimes luck is all about the vibes or energy that you put out. If you do bad things, for some reason you attract negative people and few opportunities and then create your own bad luck. The opposite is true if you do good things in your life. If you are positive, you will attract good things and good people to you. And, it doesn't hurt if your motive is right. Thanks for dropping by and sharing your philosophy. Much appreciated.

I don't think we receive blessing for blessing, but I certainly think in the long run when we make a practice of doing good things, good things will come back to us. The reverse is also true. If we do bad things, eventually it will catch up to us and life will not be as good. Another way to say it is "What goes around, comes around."

i'm not keeping track of good deeds. But, it's a theory that has worked well for me. Sort of do unto others. In my case, for some reason, when I do good for others, that's when I receive my blessings. Doesn't work that way for everyone I'm sure. Perhaps it's a reminder to me that I should be generous and share my blessings with others. Be well and thanks for dropping by.

Does gravity work even if you don't believe in it? Science would say co-operation has survival value. I think there is more to the story than that. We can never really know for sure though, can we?

personally I believe that karma means what comes around goes around, while blessings are God's protection or help when we need it. I do not keep track of any good deeds I do for others and I don't know if I deserve any good deeds others have given me, but I will do my best to pay the good deeds back. All I know is that honest work will prevail. the road is full of challenges but it is also full of blessings. help is there when I need it, I just have to ask. Good luck can be blessings or karma or both.

Well said! And, so true. Help is always there for the asking. You just have to know the right person to ask. Be well.

I definitely believe in Karma. It never fails. And it works whether you believe in it or not. Whether you do something good or bad to someone else, it will definitely come back to you accordingly.

I definately believe in Karma! "What comes round, goes round" My mother always used to say. There's been lots of times in my life that I've done a good deed and not had a return favor, but I figure Karma's keeping them until I really need them ;-)

I do believe in Karma myself. I just like being a good person to help others anyway. It is apart of my daily job and apart of who I am. I do think people who do bad things deserve what is coming to them and that they will receive it.

Don't ever hope to receive a good Karma in return when you do a good thing for someone else. You won't get a good Karma because you are hoping about it. That's my philosophy. You'll get a good Karma because you have done good things in your entire life. Although you won't realize it now, you will be rewarded in life after life.

It's not neccessarily that I believe in "Karma" or "Good Luck" But I find that I feel happier, and more at peace when I am doing my best to help out other people. And since I don't have a lot of monetary wealth to give, but I do have time, I also get to meet some neat people!

Well I believe Karma isn't time savvy. Meaning, the good deeds you do may not be paid back/rewarded or they may. They could be returned right then and there, other times it takes awhile to get back to you. Personally, I could careless about the return end of karma, just seeing the smiles, hearing the thank yous and seeing the elation on their face that there actually is a good guy or two still on earth, that's enough for me. I think that's the main currency of my karma.
