No I don't think they are faking . Sometimes it takes being slowed down enough to think about things to realize you have a need for God. No one really changes they just turn into who they were meant to be in the first place. Becoming more self aware and learning to care about and respect other people is what christianity is all about.

I have done alot of communication with young people in prison. I have spent hours writing letters of encouragement and all. They ALL seem to find God in prison! And then they get out and God I guess stays at the prison because then they go back and like magic once again ...they have God in their lives. I have countless letters from prisoners. One nite while sorting thru stuff I came across a box of these letters and began reading thru them. With the exception of writing style and signature, they were all basically the same. I remember having such hope for these young people bu now knowing the outcome...not at all. I think they all mean well and do pray and hope to be better when they are released but sadly a great many of them just can't cope with life.
