ok, if someone starts a discussion why do they then change there storey when responding to every post? by the time I am done reading the whole thing I end up very confused. are you just making things up to get other readers going so you get more responses are do you actually think that nobody will notice. I am talking about drastic diffrences. anyone else get annoyed when they respond to a discussion and get an answer that says the total opposite?

That IS pretty irritating. It's like the person that started the discussion forgot what he/she originally said. It's almost like one person started the discussion, and a second person decided to respond to the replies.

Thanks hon. The meds have knocked the pain down several notches so I figured I'd take advantage of the moment. LOL

I have seen those discussion before and possibly have one or more of them myself. What happens is a person who is mad starts a discussion and then later regrets it. Or if they are having a bad night and then a bad discussion is started. Alot of things could be going on when a person starts the discussion and they later change their minds. That is why being able to edit our discussions would be nice. Because I guess it will sound like two different people because of the mood they are in but infact it is just one. Or in a rare possibility it is a person sharing their computer and their mylot account. Strangers things have happened.

You could be right somewhat on that. Maybe it is a little bit of both. I know some possibly started out discussions with just the intent to get alot of discussions, then changed their minds mid stride. I myself have wrote one or more when I have been mad at my husband and family and regretted it later. what ticks me off though to no end is when I see discussions posted that someone else has already posted word for word or almost maybe one two words changed just because the person seen that it got alot of responses bu totally doesn't really know anything of the topic or really care about anything but the money they make getting the responses. With so many mylotters here joined at mylot I am sure we won't see the last of those discussions that annoy us for either changing habits or beliefs in mid stride or the copy/pasters of discussions. I guess we just leave our opinions and get on with it.

that makes sense because the discussions I am talking about seem to be mostly ones that sound like they were started when the writer was mad.

I get what you are saying entirely and who knows maybe that is the case. There are other times however where someone desperately want to be right or wants a nice "victory" over another person in the thread and they'll post whatever to get it.
