have your kids ever attempted to flush something down the commode that just was not meant to go there?
my son once dropped a bottle of my cologne in the commode, not wanting to pick it out he tried to flush it - it did not go very far.

well my one son flushed a wash rag down there,roll of toilet paper,and the last thing was a piece of my jewelry,thank god it was only costume jewelry.lol

yeah !!my neice once tried to flush our hose keys down the toilet but luckily we saw her doing it and saved wrecking the toilet all well as the keys..now she is 10 yrs old and we still laugh about it together.since then we have been amking sure that we close the lid of the toilet after use.
