it seems to me that people are always wanting what they can have , don't know what they want , or they only want it because someone else has it. I say that if the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence then you should buy some spiritual Scots turf builder and quit looking over the blankety blank fences. People seem to only be happy when they are unhappy. And as one of my customers says, "it is always so much more fun to struggle at making it than it is to just have it once you have made it."another of the month tells me "I've been rich and I've been poor, and I got to tell you rich is better!"
I think that the world would be a much happier place if there were no one trying to keep up with the Joneses. and what is it about those Jones folks anyway?

Life is like that. People will never change as long we live. Different people have different needs and some people share the same needs. It's normal for people to be envious, and dream to reach the stars. It is normal too for people to feel happy when others are not. Human beings are made up of four elements. They are the fire, water, earth and air. So now it's up to us individually how we want to live our lives in this world. We can't make everybody agree with us, and we don't have to agree with them too. I hope this will reduce your sadness. Have a nice day, sharone74.

Yes grass is greener on otherside is a old adage. For some people, it is very important to change the location (different office, different business opportunities). For some people, it becomes routine, keep jumping from place to place and still not able to fine suitable place, satisfactory place. So it applies to some and for some it makes no difference. The principle that works here is, if you are stangant in one place, then you look for higher salaried job, better opportunities, greater respect, and ultimately job satisfaction. Thie principle of greener on other side is not only applicable for job, but for all activities of humans. Like neighbours wife is beautiful!!

like you people just be happy with what they rather than want what they don't. it doesn't make sense that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. why are we never winning contests instead of viewing ourselves short of our goal or short of our neighbors ?

that is the point of keeping up with the Jones'. You wanna make sure that you have everything that your friends and neighbors have so that you will fit in and not be looked down upon by your neighbors and peers.
