Counterstrike Vs Quake

Now a days all over the globs we are having craze for counterstrike and quake series when it comes to lan games so what you people think which one is better, most played game of these two and why?

I still play CS 1.5 every once in awhile. 1.6 Is fun, much more than Quake in my honest opinion. For crazy, uncontrollable fun, Unreal Tournament is the place to go though.

couldnt agree with you more... counter strike has managed to stay more alive and for longer then quake... i would take this as a obvious sign that more ppl enjoy playing cs
