Hi, I'm a writer doing some research on unplanned pregnancies in women over the age of 40. Some of the studies I've seen have said that as many as half of all births in this age group are unintentional and that only teenagers have more unplanned pregnancies.
I'm interested in hearing about people's thoughts on this subject.
I'm particularly interested in talking to some women who've actually had this happen to them.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Well I was 39, is that close enough? How about the fact that I had a 18,15 and a 12 year old at the time and, yes, same father..
I don't have any questions, but I can tell you, as much as I love all my children, having one later in life when you have already lived some and matured, is a lot easier. There is not too much my youngest can surprise me with and I know about what he will be going through in each stage of his life.
