You are hereby reactivated from retirement. Your command duties will include ensuring all coalition servicemembers are safely redeployed to destinations tba. As you are the commander of the final phase, it will be your responsibility to remain in country until the last U.S transport is wheels up. A UH-60 Black Hawk with escort will be your transportation out. Do you have what it takes to take command sir?

I'd love to see it happen like that, but it won't. If you weren't aware of it, he's Georgie-boy's cousin! Mr. AWOL isn't going to send his kin to war, just ours.

Well, no one goes who didn't volunteer. I'd just like to see those former Officers who want to pull the troops out volunteer to be among the last ones out.

I realize we are not under draft right now, but if we go forth into Iran, we probably will be. It sickens me to see that our leaders are willing to send everyone off to die except their own. IMO, world leaders should don gloves, enter the ring & hash out their own differences. Oil isn't worth all these deaths & permanent injuries. I agree tho, it would be nice to see the ones instigating these wars be willing to fight them along side their armies...kind of like our founding fathers did.

Surprisingly there are several members of Congress and the Senate who have children that either have been, are or will be deployed to Iraq. Do you put more value to their opinions since they DO have a personal stake in this war? Just wondered... Annie

First of all, John Kerry served in Vietnam (he sure likes to tell that to everyone). So John Kerry would be smart enough to get us out of Iraq. John Kerry is the only human being on this earth that knows that there were no killing fields in Cambodia. There was no blood bath after the troops left Vietnam, and the re-education camps were quite pleasant. What a quack! No, No, No, I take that a step further, I don't believe that someone like John F. Kerry should be breathing the same air as me. But let us all remember John F. Kerry served in Vietnam. That makes him an expert. Just the same way me driving my car makes me an expert on automobiles. Just one last parting shot, the people up in Massachusetts, I question your mental compacity to vote. You keep electing spit-wads like Kerry and Kennedy. Give me a break.

I am too nimble minded to understand exactly what is being said. :( sorry. I know my beloved can be called up out of retirement for a few more years yet. my father who retired in 78 with 22 years of service received a letter in 90 stating that he could be recalled from retirement. that surprised me as his 30 would have been up in 86.

It's about retired and former officers who are demanding we pull our troops out, knowing full well that most of the last phase out will be killed. If they aren't willing to command that phase, and be the last one out... then they aren't willing to put their butt where their rhetoric is.

No, No, No, wrong all of ya. According to Mr. Kerry, all you have to do to serve in iraq is not get an education.

Ah, yeah, that's right... maybe that's why they wouldn't let me come out of retirement for it. ;~D
