Bathroom repairs

bathroom repairs - Because of a broken shower stall, I had to get my bathroom almost completely redone. This picture shows the corner where we tore out the shower and started replacing the walls.

Our bathroom has been torn up for 3 weeks now. The shower stall cracked and leaked. We had to pull it out, replace part of the walls where it stood and the whole floor in the bathroom. The new shower stall is smaller than the old one (Same brand, but 16 years later!!!) so now we will have to figure out what to do about the gaps between the tile and the shower! I'm dickering with the insurance company, but I don't think they are going to pay a dime. I'm beginning to hate insurance companies and have about decided I may just go without any! Just some more of life's little bumps! I will post a picture of the completed room when/if it ever gets done!!!

Maybe you should get a picture of the mess, and then when it is done go ahead and get a picture of the final result. That way we can see what you had to deal with, and you can look at the pictures and marvel that you made it through such a remodeling. : )

I forgot to take pictures of the damage before they tore out the shower. It has been a big mess and not finished yet!

Yeesh--sure looks like you have your work cut out for you there--Just why DOES everything seem smaller anyway? Whenever there is some kind of replacement in home improvement, the item you're replacing it with seems smaller, yet the price sure isn't

It doesn't just seem smaller, it is! I'm going to have to paint all around it where the old one was torn out!.
