Do your kids go to year-round or traditional school? Which do you prefer? My daughter will be going to a traditional school. I've personally been to both and have liked both. But I think traditional is a little easier to deal with when it comes to childcare or trying to plan vacations.

My kids go to traditional school. Some days, I wish it was year round LOL! I like the traditional so that we can spend summer vacation together. We also know when the school vacations come and we usually will take a family vacation to Florida every spring when they are out of school.

I like traditional for the same reason. Easier to plan. Plus you don't have to worry that your kids might end up on the track that you don't like. Thanks!

I've been to both, and you're right, unless you're homeschooled, traditional public school is much easier for scheduling purposes, although year-round or homeschooling is much better for retention (in my experience). When I was homeschooled, if one of our vacations interfered with schooltime, we'd just pack our books and learn something along the way. Even when we went to DisneyWorld, we ended up writing research papers on some topics we had to find from Epcott. So it's all in how you deal with it. I like that there are so many schooling options available. As long as you have the money anyway, lol. Blessed Be

When I was in year round school my mom took me to Hawaii...it was right after school started...so she just had me take my work with me. I liked that I could still keep up but enjoy the vacation too. Thanks for your response!!
