How many times has this anime made you cry?

Okay, well as some people know I have things going on in my own life that might contribute to my crying more easily than usual. Still, watching the Cartoon Network marathon of Naruto and then continuing into the next few episodes after that via computer downloads of fansubs, I found myself crying several times. I wonder how many times Naruto has made other people cry. I remember crying for the 3rd Hokage definitely, and the last few episodes that my husband and I watched (in the early 100's) contained a couple more key deaths already. Not to mention the whole Sasuke-Sakura thing right before Sasuke leaves the village. And even during the exam fights I remember crying because of Hinata's fight. I haven't seen the end of the show yet, so I don't want to get into too much detail beyond that... but so far I think Naruto has made me cry more than just about any other anime I've watched. There are just too many characters that I care about! Am I a big wuss? For those of you who watch Naruto, has it made you cry? How many times? Please tell me I'm not just a big crybaby! =p

Well..I'm not that big of a fan of Naruto..but one of my favoite animes -- Gravitation, has brought tears to my eyes before. A few others with aliens and stuff in 'em too. You're not a baby for crying at any show or movie or anythin' hun. Some situations are pretty sad -- an I daresay, Naruto kicks up quite a bit of angst sometimes. It's highly understandable.

Ryuichi from Gravitation - I really like him. =P
Oh, Gravitation! I LOVE Gravitation too... and I seem to remember it making me cry as well. That's another show that has a lot of neat characters.=p You're right, Naruto is pretty angsty.

Pretty much everytime Yuki was cold to Shuichi when Shuichi needed him not to be, I guess. And when they revealed the stuff about Yuki's past I guess. I haven't actually watched Gravitation in a while, but now I'm in the mood to pull it back out and dust it off. =P

*nods* There have been many other animes that made me cry as well... some of them seem to be more tear-jerking than others. I don't know what it is about anime, but it's actually easier for me to get attached to the characters than it is in live-action, so I seem to both get very excited over their triumphs and very sad over their defeats.

Hey, i cried A LOT watching Naruto, you know! My favorite "crying part" (lol) was episode 100, where Lee, after all his hard works and dreams to become a great ninja with taijutsu alone, had to give up that entire dream because of injury while fighting Gaara before that. And the flashbacks that they had on how lee was very determined after Gai-sensei gave him new hopes.. that made me cry EVERYTIME i watch that episode again and again. (crying.....) I have more "crying frenzies" for you, if you read anime/manga/Asian drama reviews on http://animefaqs.org you'll find more crying frenzies recommendation there. LOL!

Ah yes, the whole situation Lee went through was so sad, after all his hard work. I remember lots of tears over that! It was just so unfair that someone who had worked so hard to become a ninja despite not being blessed as some of the others were had to go through that! Of course it also showed his amazing will that he was so sure he still wanted to be a ninja! I'll have to check out the page! =)

Whatever I do is watch TV cartoons, as long as it's moving, I will cry, some people may not feel that they can really touched me. Did I too fragile feelings?

Considering how many people responded to say they have also cried, I think it's very normal! Sometimes people are touched by different things. It's interesting that not everyone has listed the same events that made them cry. I think it just has to do with what characters you become more attached to, or how much you relate to them. So no, I don't think you have too fragile feelings, and if you do, we must all have them! =P

Naruto offers good lessons in which viewers can apply to their daily life. I cried on it many times =) I don't have to deny it. Though, I laughed more than cry on it. It's simply an entertaining anime and veryyyyyyyyy addicting even at my age ^_^

It was very sad, when Sakura was begging him to stay, and even asked if she could go with him. Poor poor Sakura. =(
