Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?

Do you write your name on the sand? - leaving a footprint on the sand... :)

Whenever I go to the beach, I always draw my name on the sand. I would put my name's signature, and sometimes, my nick name. I would even put designs and other drawings, like flowers and vines to give my name on the sand a little "style". *smiles* Usually, I do it near the sea. Then I would watch as the tides would take my name away. The tide would gently wash it and it leaves no footprints. No any sign that, awhile ago, I just wrote my name there. Hmmm... It's quite the same: tide and life. Everything would just come and quickly goes. What matters was the feeling I felt when I was writing my name: contentment. :) Life is indeed, not what happens to you, but on how you deal with it. :) *** God bless everyone! \(",)_

Hi there. As a child, I would always scrape my name in the sand, make castles and draws pictures or lettering and then the tide would turn and wash it all away...

Hi sr0415! Everytime I go to the beach, I do write my name on the sand and I still do until now that I am in my forties. I just watch it be washed away by the tide and then write on ti again. I do agree with what you just said that everything just come and go which means there is really nothing permanent in this world, except for change. I guess that is why we have to love and appreciate what we have at the moment because we will never know what will be washed away next by the tide of life. Take care and have a nice day!

Hello there!(",) Yes, I love to write my name in the sand. I also like to write a message and watch it as the tide washes it away. I also like writing the name of my crush beside my name with a heart at the center. Funny but it somehow make me smile when I look back to it. Great day!(",) God bless you, too!

Yes I started doing that when I was a a child and stilldo it even though I have grown up. I like it when the wtaer hit the writing on the sand you see and wait until its all covered by water.

It's same thing with me. I love watching the tide "reaches out" with what I made on the sand. :)

What a nice way to explain life , as it is so true , this would look so nice on a scrapbook page . I love to scrapbook and have never wrote in the sand that I can recall but have seen where others have done this and put it in a scrapbook and I have always loved the idea . You have such a nice way of looking at life . You sound like such a happy person who is content with life .

oh yes.. I do that whenever I'm at the beach, it always occur to me and I find myself scribbling in the sand for mo reason at all... it's like a good thing that I must do when the ocean is on sight and I believe that is a great feeling.

I haven't been to the beach in AGES! I don't remember writing my name, but instead, drawing pictures. I'm not much of a beach person, I prefer the mountains. So I guess if i were around sand, i would do what I did when I was little... draw pictures with my toes or a stick, or build a sand castle.

I used to do that when I'm in my school days. When I grew out of school, I do not do that any longer cause I felt very sad when the tide washed away my inscription of my name. Nowadays, I will write the date I'm there further from the tide and by the time I walk away, I would not see the tide wash them off. I dont like the feeling of sadness.

When we were newlyweds, which was a lifetime ago, lol, we drew intertwined hearts in the sand and put our names on them and the date and took a picture to save. We did not watch to see the ocean take it away and in the photo it will remain fresh forever--or at least for our version of forever. Cute discussio9n!

I wish I could go to the beach more often. I live very far from the coast. Anyway when I do go there I write my name on the sand and I try to build a castle. These are things that I did when I was a child and I like to keep doing that because it makes me remember the good times.

Not really. Because I enjoyed the water more than the sand. I like the feel of being in a water than lying on the sand or playing with it. But it will be fun to see my name on the sand.

No, not so much anymore. I guess I just don't enjoy doing that anymore. You grow up and certain things don't sound as good at all anymore.
