OK, I admit, I collect those pudgy little ponies. They stole my heart in the 80s, and I love them still. Am I alone in this? Does anyone else collect? And if you do, do you collect the originals (from the 80s), the 2nd generation from the 90s, or the 3rd generation they are still producing today?

You are not alone, I'm here :) (but I guess you allready knew that! LOL). I only collect 80's ponies and I will buy a 3rd generation if I really like the specific pony, I personally think it would become very hard to collect all generations; it's so very expensive. I have about 250 ponies in my collection and lots or related merchandise, how about you?

I'm really hooked on the 80s ponies for nostalgia sake. I have a couple of 2nd and 3rd generation ponies that came in a lot of 1st gen ponies I bought on ebay, but that's it. It is SO expensive to try to collect them all....it's expensive enough just collecting one generation! I probably have between 200 and 300 ponies...I haven't counted them in a while.

Of course I collect them too :) I still have all of my childhood ponies, which is about 150 or so G1s. I've added quite a few to my G1 collection since then, but I've honestly never had them all out to count them. I have a few G2s, but I really don't care much for them. I'm still collecting some of the G3s, but only the ones that I really like. I can't imagine trying to collect them all at the rate they are coming out! Hopefully I'll have a daughter that I can pass them along to. I have so many special memories with the ones I had as a child and I think it would be fun to remember what it was like to play with them with a child's heart!

I know, it is ridiculous to try to keep up with all the new ponies coming out! That's why I'm sticking with the first generation set!

And the theme song is so catchy! My sister collects Barbies, and nice fancy dolls. She always managed to leave them (at least the "collector's dolls") in the packages. I never knew how she managed to do that. When I was her age, I wanted to play with my toys!

I used to have a couple when they first came out, but I don't have them anymore.

Did you sell them, or just stop collecting them? I think there is a certain apeal to the ones that are coming out now. As in you can go to the store and by them! I still remember waiting for the new ones to come out in the 80s and going to store to pick the ones I wanted.

I don't "collect" My Little Ponies, but I do have a few. Mostly purple ones.... I do think they are very cute, but, then again, they are horses ain't they? The way they are made they carry their heads more like a cat or dog, but... they are very cute.

I LOVED My Little Pony when I was a kid. I didn't collect them, but I loved to play with them, and watch the cartoon TV show. xD
