public office is a public trust...if you are holding a public position you ought to be transparent so as to gain people's trust and support...this is my grandfather's guiding principle..he is into politics for almost half of his life (he's now 67),has experienced the ups and downs and the dirts of politics..i am 18 years old and i want to follow his footsteps not just to gain popularity,authority and special privileges like he sometimes gets but to be of help to our community and its people...for several years now,he has not been replaced or defeated by anyone who wants to throw him away of his throne..and i think this is because of his being approachable and trnsparent to the people..he lives in a simple house,one that people can really say he is not corrupt or anything,he does not have a car and fat bank accounts..i could say that he is very dedicated to his vocation and i am glad that people though not all,see his efforts and appreciate them..always i hope that one day i can be where he is right now...
