Hey crafters, I need a glue recommendation

I need a glue that will bond together different rocks. My son digs in the yard and gathers up these really pretty pink, white and grey rocks. They're rough, kinda sparkly and sandy feeling. I want to start gluing them together to make paperweights for his grandparents for Christmas. Hot glue doesn't work, it just peels right off of them. Do you know a glue that would work? Or should I coat the rocks in something like clear nail polish before trying to glue them? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think the biggest key to getting the rocks to bond to each other with glue is going to be figuring out a way to keep them firmly pressed against each other while the glue dries. If you can figure that out, try Gorilla Glue or a crafting glue called E-600. (I'm not 100% sure on the name of the latter, but I know it starts with an E and that there is at least one 6 involved. :) ) Both of those are supposed to hold anything together.

E6000--- that would be my choice, as well... then clear epoxy.

yes, you can use epoxy or any epoxy based glue. This is what is used to glue crystals and other gems to surfaces.

Have you tried rubber cement?? I've used that on some of my tougher crafting projects. AT PEACE WITHIN

I want to reply this discussion not with a recommendation for glue but to thank you for th idea. We have collected some beautiful rocks from the beach they are really very beautiful and this would be a great ieda to seal them together to make something new. i have to think what other think i can make may begive them a shape of animal or something like that? I like the idea and thanks the other friends for the recommendations as I have no idea which glue can stick them together. i rather say if you don't polish it or paint it, thats better, just let them stay in their natural look but only polish the portion where you want to apply the glue. give a picture when you are done with it.
