Tibet is most renowned for its rligious scroll paintings, metal images, and wooden block prints. there are three categories of images-respresenting the peaceful,moderate, and angry deities-and three schooles of painting- the Sman-thang, Gong-dkar Mkhan-bris, and Kar-masgar-bris-which are differentiated by colour tones and depicted facial expressions.

Tibet has always fascinated me. I would love to visit there, but it seems unlikely. Thank you for including the photo of the palace. I am amazed that a building like that could be erected in those surroundings. Man can truly do some wonderful things when he puts his mind to it. You sound like you know a lot about Tibet. Do you have any examples of the different types of painting you mention?
