The United States sends a strong message that it is the team to beat after defeating the Venezuelans 112-69 on the opening day of the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.
It can be remembered that Team USA, co-captained by Dwyane Wade, Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony, settled for the bronze medal in the 2006 World Cahmpionship.
Now, beefed up with players like Kobe Bryant, Tayshaun Prince, Amare Stoudemire and Jason Kid, are they prepared to regain their lost glory in world basketball supremacy?
