so i m waiting eagerly for this book and when i finally get a hold of it.. and then... big disappointment. people say that the fans would have very high expectations, and that i had, and miss rowling failed to deliver. so, why didn't i like deathly hallows? first of all, there was no twist in the story, u could read the last few pages of the half blood prince and everything is written there, that what would happen in the next novel. then there is this thing, its not about potter at all, its all about how hermione plan the things out. there was a bit too much of camping here and there and reading through those pages was too dull. deathly hallows? well the idea of deathly hallows was too kiddish and had no connection whatsoever with the previous novels, along with the theory of 'winning a wand'. it was so boring. and then there is this mistake, wasnt it necessary to kill the previous owner of the elder wand to claim the elder wand? then how come grindelwald was able to use all the powers of the wand and become a great wizard when he had just stolen the wand from gregorovich? if someone can clearify me then please do.. and the book was filled with a lot of boring bits, the horcruxes were just too easy to destroy, and that light coming of ron's deluminator and taking him to harry and hermione was simply lame. it seemed that miss rowling was in a rush for the characters to meet their fates, mad-eye making an entry and the next chapter he is dead, here's wormtail coming to the scene and after a few lines he's dead, dobby coming to the rescue, next chapter and he is dead too and the worst thing about the novel...the death of voldemort by his own wand... harry could have made up for being a slob in the whole novel by at least having a good duel with voldy.. i felt there were some explanations left untouched.. i would have liked to know more about why some people become ghost, the previous explanation was too vague. and what about sirius and the veil? what was that veil? its description was vague too. i dont remember but i think it was described as if it was some othe dimension.. but still i thought that this novel would give some satisfactory answer to these questions. yes there were good bits too. really liked the final battle and the memories of snape were just great. but overall, it was an extremely disappointing end to the series. please post your views.. ill be glad to hear your comments about my post or about hp7

I liked the book, but I found several parts to be fairly predictable. I wasn't surprised by finding out Snape had been in love with Lily and the Hallows stuff got to me too. I felt there was a lot of stuff rushed and left unsaid. I would really like to know more about the other characters. What happened to Hagrid? What happened to the Malfoy family? I liked the parts with Snape's memories too, but I still wasn't surprised by most of them. It was a good book and I'm sure I will read it again at some point, but it didn't live up to the hype.

The part where Harry was in Limbo kinda got to me too. I was confused at first about what was going on and the thing that was cowering under the bench.

I have not read this book. But my friend has told me the endding. Although I am disapointed with it, I think I can understand the author's thought. Because many readers of Harry Potter are still very young. Well, maybe J.K.Rowling could write two kinds of endding:)
