I have a 2000 chev venture minivan. I recently did an oil change and disconnected the battery so the oil light would go out. The trouble is now after reconnecting the battery the vehicle wont start. The lights come on and security is flashing. Can anyone give me any input?

I own a 99 venture and all that I know is that if you start messing around with the electrical at all and that includes unplugging the battery then you'll probably end up with computer issues. Once the computer gets screwed up then you're looking at big bucks! It sounds like the computer needs to be reset. I had to bring mine into the dealer for that. Good Luck!
