how long does it take you to get ready?

I was just reading through some posts here and this thought suddenly crossed my mind. Different people have different "rituals" when getting ready to go to work, to school, or simply to go out, so some people take longer than others. As for me, I need about an hour to shower, get dressed, and put make-up on. It used to take me an hour and a half, especially when my hair was longer since I had to blow-dry it everyday. How about you? How long does it take you to get ready? Do you have your "rituals"? If yes, what are they?

Hahaha, you caught me! I wear a lot of makeup! And even if i didn't i would still need a lot of time to get ready! I't one of the things that makes me feel great along the day! If "the you" that you display for other is well taken care of and prepared, then we appreciate it a lot more, we appreciate ourselves a lot more, we have more confidence in our abilities, so we are more relaxed, more active, more sociable, energetic, optimistic and that reflects on other ppl's opinions and reaction towards us. So... it's all good!!!!!

Oh, I so agree with you. When we take care with how we look -- how we dress, how we "doll up" ourselves, it does have a positive effect on our attitudes and that shows through to other people. So yeah, it's good to look good!

I don't wear makeup (usually), so if I take a bath the night before, I can usually be ready in about 15 minutes. If I am going somewhere special & I do wear makeup ... it often takes a couple of hours (!) to get ready. That's why I usually don't bother with makeup!

Same with me when I'm going somewhere special. I take extra care with putting on make-up so if my normal time is an hour, it would usually take me a couple of hours when I have my "full armor".

The time it takes me to get ready to go somewhere will depend upon where I am going! I will spend a lot more time if I am going out for an evening with hubby than I would to take a group of nursing students to the hospital! Bare minimum for me is about 30 minutes, but when I take more pains with hair and makeup, then I too, will need an hour!

I'm up at 4:00 so I can be ready to leave by 5:35. Of course I spend a good bit of that time watching TV or playing on the computer. It really dosen't take me long to get ready but I get up extra early to get out of the rest of the families way.

Hi, no there arent any rituals that i follow, just that the routine work in the morning. Getting up early and sending the kids off to school , and there after getting ready myslef. It takes me around 45 min to shower, get ready, and put a light mak up on,an sit for breakfast. It is rather fast i think, as if i were given a choice i would love to bathe more luxurioulsy, and pamper myself a little longer. But the time is so tight fit that its got to be in a rush. But no regrets as i compensate on weekends instead. I do say my prayers very religously daily, so that is kind of a ritual too, something that i never forget to thank toe god lord. That takes me another 10 minutes or so.

It really depends. If I am going to work I am ready in a minute. I will just take the first clothes I see in front of me and that's it. If I am going out to a party or even to see my friends it will take a while. I have to decide the clothes, the make up, etc..

I feel little embarassed here, I am a man and yet it seems like I am too stubborn in preparing myself in the morning. Most of the times, I need more than an hour just to make myself ready. I shower for about 15 minutes, prepare breakfast for myself and then eat. I also have to press the clothes I have to use, to gather my things and check to make sure that I have everything that I need. I always think that I can move faster, but it seems that I end up either exact to an hour or late to my average time consumed..

Hi raijin! This might help you cut some minutes off your morning routine: try preparing your things and pressing your clothes the night before. You'll be amazed at how much time that saves you in the morning!

It takes me considerable time to get ready. I cannot get ready in a hurry. In the morning when I have to leave for office and execute other tasks, I require two hours to get ready.

It takes me about a half hour to shower and get dressed and blow dry my hair. I don't wear make up, and I have a really easy layered cut the works well with my natural curl, so I really don't primp much. I had one of my neices that lived with us, and it took her 2 hours to do her hair and make up, shower and get dressed! It always amazed me that she had to spend that much time to get ready to go to work at a Sonic drive in! I guess to each their own, but I have never been one to primp much!

I know what you mean. I have a friend who needs about 2 hours or more to get ready, and that's just on regular days! I think it's because she uses an iron for her hair, that's what's taking her so long. The upside is, of course, she always looks pretty. The downside is, she has to be careful that when she goes out, it doesn't rain or that she stays on dry land -- like the mall -- so she doesn't run the risk of frizzing out her hair! LOL

I have only one sel-nature-nurture, about ritual before going out for work. Look at the mirror and says; "hi myself, be your self and always on mind focusing, be best for you and all, wishing you best of good luck and good look". Make me wise and energetic(verve and plenipotentiary). Thats all from me, I'm fine and thank you. The Little Me, Michael.

every day I only need to spend 30 mins to get ready for work. Although I admit that I'm a little bit girly so there's also many rituals that I'm going through before i get ready but then it took me so hard to wake up early in the morning that's why I already sacrifice some rituals that I used to. So in 30 mins a day, I already had a shower, get dress, and put some make-up. I can't afford to eat breakfast anymore but it's ok I'm already used to it.

Hi Kennedee! I just added you as a friend, by the way. Anyway, I'm not an early riser myself, although it's better now than it used to be. But before, when I had an 8-5 job and my hair was still really long, more often than not, I'd be running late if I had to go through the whole ritual of blow drying my hair, putting on make-up, get dressed, so I'd sometimes end up putting my hair up in a pony tail. But then I figured, why not just cut my hair? That way, i don't have to spend that much time with my hair in the mornings and instead have more time to sleep! So the next day, I went to salon and had my hair cut from really long to really short. Problem solved! hehe

I not spend more time for bathing takes only 10 to 15 minutes for ready. I not like make up but put only cream and powder.
