Does it make you mad when other people shout out the answers when you are watching Jeopardy? Do you know people who like to showoff and answer before everyone else has had a chance to think about the answer?

Hi there. It doesnt make me mad when I hear others shouting out the answer, because we all do it in our home, its like a little competition within our household, and thats with any game show, if we're watching it... Our kids will have there 50 cents worth and so will my husband and I... We just laugh and have fun with these shows, especially "Who wants to be a millionaire"...

Well it doesn't make me mad, but it sure does my husband, cause I do it, LOL. I get into the show and I don't even realize anyone is there but me, so the next thing I know is I am shouting out what I think is correct and then I will hear hubby softly say his answer. I can't help it and he knows, I am a big mouth. If it helps I can admit I am wrong most of the time and that soft whispered answer I barely heard...is right more often. :oD

But my question is this, Is Jeopardy not a timed game? So if one watching thinks they know the answer why not shout it out before the timer expires? I do it all the time. But noone here gets upset about it as it is a timed game. Thnaks and good luck with the answers. (questions) HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I hate it too. It's ok to let the others know that you have an answer, but don't tell them what it is. Give everyone a shot at figuring it out. Even if I know it, I don't like to spoil the game for everyone else.

nah, that is part of the fun - on the show ringing in first gets you the opportunity to have the points first. it did irritate me though when one member of the family would shout the answer at the contestants, over and over and over - if they finally say it he says about time, if they do not say the same answer he gets miffed at them for not listening - I get a kick out of it when they did not agree with him, but get the answer right...

No I like if someone in the room knows the answer before they do on the TV. We try to answer the questions before the constestants. I think my son is smart enough to go no the show but he will not apply.

No, the Jeopardy part doesn't bother me at all. I say more power to them. I guess if they feel the need to answer first so be it. If I know the answer before them, I will shout it out too.
