Do you eat meat of dog?!

Pardon me for asking you this question, as I know dog is a good friend for us. The Moslems do not do it. But many people do so. There are food stalls in my rural town which serve it. They name them "Sate Jamu" to tell people that the served food is for medicinal purposes only. Yeah... it's just a sign. In fact healthy people go there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Even many like it so much!
Well, don't take it so personally. It's nothing but curious.

I'm totally opposed to the idea of eating dog meat....I realize that in many countries dog meat is common to eat, as well, in some oriental countries it's common to eat cats...I just recently did a discussion about this very topic, to STOP the dog meat trade that is going on. Many of the dogs that were rescued that are shown in the video were people's former pets as they had collars on indicating they had belonged to someone...do you think that's right? There are many erroneous ideas that some cultures will have about how different animals are...in your country for instance it is believed that dog meat is medicinal, in Asian countries, cats are considered aphrodesiacs ---this is so wrong and unheard of
How would people like it, if that dog meat they were eating turned out to be a pet of one of your friends that was stolen? Would they be so interested in eating dog meat then?

well I can tell you I have been to indonesia and they tell me about the sate dog cause thats what they call it there lol but they also told me they only sell at the litle food spots in that country so I only go to the big restaurants no I dont like to eat satedog but I do understand people eat it cause it is something to eat and if you dont have enough money for fresh meat yeah than I understand.

Yes, they are! But some people breed them intentionally for that purpose. They treat them like sheeps, goats, cows, hens, etc. Of course they don't slaughter cihua-hua, pudel, buldog, and other prestigious dogs. If so, what a price you should pay just for a slice? Hahahaha.... (``,)

Ewwww. No. I have a hard time reconciling eating meat and don't eat a lot of it but DOG? No, never. I never eat anything I am not sure of. If it isn't what I know and I haven't had it before, I don't eat it. I don't even eat deer meat. I tried to be a vegetarian but got sick so I do eat chicken and fish and the occasional other meat but never would eat dog or any other domestic animal as well as many wild animals.

No way. Recently where I live a lot of pets went missing as it turned out they were hunted for meat for some reasn. I only eat chicken, pork, beef and fish (I cant stand lamb or goat) and when it comes to less traditional meat I do not even wish to try it.

Hi sukander_ag! Here in our country, some people do eat them. Personally, I don't like to eat it because I always think of my pets and I don't think I have the heart nor the stomach to have it served on my table. Take care and have a nice day!

I am wondering what will be next. Dogs, cats, ants, bugs. Sorry for saying that but why don't you guys eat some other stuff like we name vegetable or fruit if you want to be healthy . And how come a person be healthy while sick in mind to eat a dog. !!!!

ouch !, dog meat ??? i ate it once but it was only becoz my cousin tricked me out saying it was chicken. People say it cures skin disease. I haven't proved it yet. Dog is such an intelligent creature and there's no way i'm gonna eat that kind of meat again. Kandar, don't you think that our people is kinda weird, some of them even eat monkey.

No,I have never ate it before.My mother told me not to try it,she were afaid with its high heat which my body my can't endure.
