I just came across this site while searching for whether it is safe for giving my 6 mos. old boiled parsnips. I haven't fully explored it but was very impressed with my initial search. It gives you food safe for baby broken down by age and appropriate ways to cook them. It discusses how to cook them and why. I even learned that parsnips and carrots contain high levels of nitrates that can be harmfull to young babies but can handle them better later. I guess that's a good reason for organic carrots and other root plants we feed our babies. Take a look around and tell me what you think. Overall I was very very impressed and plan on using this site routinely. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com (I have no affiliation w/ this site and the views expressed here are my own)

I am impressed that you found the information I will have to look at the site later as it come up page not found, but that happens some times.I always look for things I can feed younger children and I am amazed at what you can feed them at various ages I am glad that you take the time to look so many times we assume it will be alright and can cause digestive problems for the child because they shouldn't have had a certain food.Thank you for caring and Have a great day.
