I think it is cheating if your partner says it is cheating. Personally, I think every relationship is different, and therefore has its own rules and boundaries. If you were going to flirt with someone online and didn't know if it was okay with your partner or not, then I think you should ask. My husband and I have both been known to flirt online occasionally, but we know where our boundaries are and always stay within them. It's something we've discussed in detail and made decisions together about. I think every couple should do the same.

I think the only time internet flirting would be considered cheating is when it is taken to the next level and that level is when the people involved decide to meet face to face. I think flirting with others while in relationship with someone else is not a big deal if it is just innocent flirting.
