If You're Off the Computer & You've an Idea of Mylot Discussions Topic...

Hello wondericequeen, *Laughs* It happens to me most of the time. Even though I seldom post a new topic, I always think of the topic I want to discuss here. Sometimes, like you my mind will be just blank. It always make me feel bored thinking and keep thinking what to write and what kind of discussion I should start. But right after I switch off my computer, the ideas keep pouring and I keep imagining what and how I should start the discussion. But honestly, I won't run to my computer room and switch on the computer again! Unfortunately, I am too lazy to jot it down and when I wake up the next morning, it is gone!

I will note down the ideas whenever they come into my mind for starting a new discussions. It is not necessary that I start a discusion on that particular idea immediately, as and when I get time and chance to start I go for it. It is better to note down the idas, as and when they come, lest we forget them.

Since joining myLot, I have placed pads of paper and pencils by my bed, by my computer, at work, and in the car!!! It seems that ideas for discussions come to me at the oddest times, or things happen thrugh the day that trigger discussion topics in my mind. I write them down and post them as discussions the next time I am online or on myLot!! So, does the placement of these pads and pencils mean that I have crossed over into an addiciton?! Ha!

Yes, if I am not on the computer and I have an idea for a discussion I may make a small note somewhere, just so I won't forget it before I get on the computer the next time. I forget a lot and it always makes me mad. Like, I know that I had something I wanted to ask on mylot, but I didn't write it down, and now I don't remember it! lol. It is so annoying! =P

Hi there. If Im not on the computer and out of the house, and I get an idea, I will usually write it down, as Im always carrying a pen and not pad in my hand bag... If not, I always have my cell phone on me and I will record it down in my notes...

NO,I would turn on my computer again and post it on Mylot.com as soon as possible.I don't want to wait for the next day.Coz a good discussion should be shared with others.

i go by the same process because we can never trust our memory with a lot things happening around us but usually, i come up with a discussion in mind if i am driving or i am doing some important thing and i do not have the time to write it down not wanting to disrupt my momentum on my work.

this happens to me a lot. a few times, i forgot to write them down and i will totally forget about it. ^__^;; a lot of times, i write them down on my cellphone's reminders. LOL that's how useful my mobile to me is. ^__^

Yes. I do. :) It happened to me several times. Like when my family had dinner in some restaurant and suddenly, a mylot discussion topic just popped out of my head. Since we are in a restaurant, I borrowed a pen from the waiter.. and wrote down the topic and a sheet of paper so that I can remember it by the time I got home and be in mylot. :)

On days that I can't find a discussion that I want to respond to, I want to start a discussion, but draw completely blank. Then when I go to bed, the ideas come to me, so I have to hurry up, turn on the light, and write it down in my note book. If I don't write it down, I won't even remember the next day. I guess I have short term memory!!

If I ever got such an idea, I would write it down in my Palm PDA pocket computer, but you keep asking such wonderful questions, that I am having too much fun just replying to be much interested in starting any new discussions. I like your discussions!

i usually write them down and enter them all at once it depends on the mood sometimes i am just scanning the discussions and i answer a few which leads to some questions of your own

I get great ideas for discussions all the time. I am not organized enough to write them down and by the time I am back on mylot, I have completely forgotten about them. Maybe I only think they are great ideas and they really aren't, but I can't say since I don't remember them anymore. Maybe one day I will buy a notebook and write them all down as I think of them. Obviously, it worked well for you.

Yes. Definitely it happens. Its a psychological nature of any human. When we are into something we do not get any bright ideas because our mind is full of tension. In this case, it can be called excitement. And when the mind relaxes, the bright ideas come into the picture as the atmosphere becomes calm and composed.

I have had ideas when I am online or offline. My brain can switch automatically to respond at myLot. Except if I am too tired, my thought will be zero.

Once I've turned my computer off for the day it stays off so if i end up at some point during the night, evening whatever, coming up with a topic idea I just jot it down then post it the following day...

I write down ideas, if the computer's off. Otherwise, while I'm on the computer, if an idea strikes, I just come right over and post.

Sometimes I do experience it. And I will write it down because sometimes I can't think it out from my mind:) Sometimes I will also mark it down in my cellphone and set a time to alarm. Then I won't miss it.

I tried that once and they only got mixed up with all of my other little notes! I can't even take a shopping list with me because I forget it. I'm terrible with that sort of thing. When I think of something I usually just run to the pc and write it up or hopefully remember it the next time I log on.

Great idea! I often think of things while in my car driving to work which is out of town. By the time I get home i have usually forgotten any thoughts I had earlier. I used to carry a small notebook everywhere I went...it was a good habit as I have a touch (maybe more than that) of ADD. Thanx for the advice!
