Spending time down on the river.

Pier on the river. - The town where I do my grocery shopping is on the St. John's River. This is one of the few rivers in the world that flow north. We have a nice park on the river and I took this picture of some of the fishermen.

I had to go to town today to do some grocery shopping, so I took the time to drive on down to the riverfront. The St. John's River is one of the few in the world that flows north. Anyway, I walked around the park with my camera and got this picture of the fishermen on the pier through the Spanish moss hanging from the trees. It was mid-afternoon, but it wasn't as hot as it has been. I love taking pictures of water. What are some of your favorite things to photograph?

You seem to take your camera wherever you go...that's actually what I should do, but right now don't have any film...:( I have 21,049 slides and an estimated 15,000 black and white images...the bulk of which is birds, flowers and scenics..then of course my kitties, past and present, studio type shots I've done of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Easter, --loads of DisneyWorld shots when I went there years ago...my favorite are my night shots I did...mmm --maybe to show off will post that famous Cinderella's castle-- Shhhhh---hey before you know it I'm going to hit the 3,000 mark...hehe

By the time I got around to answering this, you are over 3000. I'll bet you've been writing like crazy, too. I haven't done a thing this week! Love your magical castle. Come down and we'll go to Disney World together!

That picture is really pretty. It's almost as if it were taken for a book. My favorite things to photograph are my two dogs. They do such unexpected things, that I am constantly hit with giggles or a heartful of love. My other favorite thing to photgraph is my parents. They can be across the room from each other and their love and affection is almost tangible.

Right now my dog Leon is under a sheet on my recliner. All I can see is one eye peeping out. I wish I had a camera!
