Could you be banned from the site even if the allegations were false?

Ooh! Don't you think that might be a little extreme? Thanks for responding, though.

But what would happen to all of the points you had racked up prior to this incident? Personally I would be upset to lose mine, even if they haven't been adding up today for some reason. Thanks for your response!

I don't know what could be done even if we had not done anything. I would hope myLot would check our other posts and compare it to the complaint, and when seeing we are not trouble makers, would take that in consideration. I think it has to be a really horrible offense to be banned from here. I don't think one complaint would warrant that either. I would just have to accept it I guess. But I think my friends on here would go to bat for me in latting myLot know I am innocent of whatever the complaint was. MyLot seems to be fair to me. If it was something I had posted, and I had no other complaints, I think they would just delete the post. At least I hope so.

That's a good question on the being banned part, I don't have an answer for it. I would have to know what was being reported and then try to refute it, if it was something that I truly did not do. If it was something that offends someone the I would stop doing it.

It's hard to know exactly what might offend someone. I've gotten harsh words from a couple of members who said I offended them. No offense was intended, and I couldn't really understand why they were offended. I can't know what everyone's values are.

That is so true. With so many ppl on here you are bound to offend some even though you did not intend for it to.

From what I understand, it doesn't matter if you offend someone here as long as it's a legitimate and well worded part of the discussion, since some of the best discussions can occur where there is a difference in opinion.

just accept and be more careful next time.

I always try to be careful and tactful, but I still end up offending some people who apparently have less tolerance than you do for differing opinions. Thank you for responding to my discussion.

To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, you can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. In short, there is the possibility that whatever you write may upset someone, no matter how innocently it was written. If we pussyfoot around all the time, the postings will become bland and anaesthetised, so I would suggest, keep posting as you do.
