Parents turn in their kids

Parents turned in their two 17 year olds after recognizing them on a security tape. Two teens accused of breaking into a Sycamore Township school, then waving and making obscene hand gestures at security cameras, have been arrested. Parents of the two 17-year-olds turned their sons in after seeing them on video and in still photos released Wednesday by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, officials said. The teens are charged with breaking and entering at All Saints School, 8939 Montgomery Road, on July 19. They are accused of stealing four laptop computers, which were recovered, police said. One teen lives in Sycamore Township, the other in Symmes Township. They have been turned over to their parents' custody and will face charges in Juvenile Court. http://stupidcriminalfile.blogspot.com/ I find this very commendable. If more parents would step up to the plate and teach their children that, if you commit a crime you will have to pay the consequences, there would be less criminals in this world. Parents need to stop coddling their kids and instead let them pay for their mistakes. I think it's better to let them learn that way, then constantly bailing them out and make them think it's ok to cause trouble, because mommy and daddy will be there to save the day.

I agree. Parent's who could never discipline their kids are motivating them to do even worst of things. As you said, as long as parents are there to show that mommy and daddy will save the day, they will take their actions for granted and they would take accountability for the things they have done. It's only when the parents let go of their 'love', that's the time the kids do grow up and realize that they are responsible for what they do. I just don't understand why these kids do these things. Just like celebrities who don't have anything good to do but be bad role-models. Their parents sure did raise them that well for them to be so needy for attention. I think they just need a lot of spanking and beating up. Plus of course, nothing works better than ignoring these people on what they do. If people don't watch their flicks or news about them then no one would talk about them, so sooner or later, no one will ever remember them.

Those celebrities are mental cases and a good example of how kids turn out if their parents spoil the hell out of them and let them get away with murder.

I think it was great example to show their children that they would have to face the consequences of their actions instead of covering up for them.

Its really to bad people can turn in thier kids for something useful, like a new barbaque cooker or self propelled lawn mower or maybe a three legged puppy.

One day mommy and daddy won't be there, then what? I think the parents did the right thing and the teens should be punished. Kids do need to know that they can't keep on doing this and never get caught.

Hi Riptide! I agree with you completely. Teach the children discipline and let them learn that they have to be reponsible with their actions. I commend those parents who have turned their sons to the police. This is what they call tough love. If parents want their children to grow responsible citizen, they should teach them how to respect the laws and not protect or coddle them from the law that they have broken. Take care and have a nice day!
