Has ever someone told you a crazy story that just seemed absolutely unbelievable to you, but you had no way of finding out if it's true or not? How about those crazy Urban Legends? I found this great site, where they put rumors to rest once and for all. http://www.snopes.com/ I was amazed at how many stories are untrue that I thought to be true. Check it out and let me know if it helped you answer some questions that have been haunting you or if you were surprised by some of the answers.

Snopes is good. I also use breakthechain.org for the real story on chain emails. I used to drive friends crazy because when they forwarded those crazy hoax chain emails to me, I would research the stories and then email them back the truth. It's weird because you would think that people would be happy to know these horrible stories aren't true, but they actually get mad about it. I guess people like these wild stories and really want to believe they are true, maybe it spices up their lives. In any case, it has worked pretty well for me and I don't get these chain emails anymore. Of course, maybe I just don't have any friends left. ;)

lol I hear you! I get them from my Hubby's grama sometimes but never bother to correct her. Let the old lady have her conspiracy theories and such. I do tend to post a snopes link if I see it online and I know it's an urban legend. I think I've trained most of my friends to check before passing on. :)

thats lovely that they have got service to even know the validity of emails and stories. cool thanks for the resources , snopes and breakchain.org these are very useful resources. thanks and take care it always is better to delete these chain emails , i don't pass it around. take care

I have been posting this link to many of my discussions ever since I started posting on forums. I also post it in responses to many of the "warnings" that are posted when they prove to be untrue.

I think it's also an interesting site to find out things you never knew.I was glad to put some rumors to rest for my own sake, like the crocs in the sewer rumor lol. That one had me a bit freaked and I was glad to find out it's false.
