Everytime we set bench marks and milestones about what we consider will be our world of Happiness. I used to say when i finish school and get a job, i shall be happy, when i get married and have children I shall be really happy, Now i find myself saying when my child finishes school and buys me this car or builds a house etc I shall be happy. It looks, am not arriving to the destination of a happy world-is happiness a journey or a destination?

Both, being happy is something that is a journey and a destination, but from what I have heard of truly being happy, you have to do what you love and what you want to do. That is the key to happiness.

For myself it has to be both, butalso something we have to cultivate in our dispositiion.Life is full of challenges and for some of us, more than others..Some people have every thing and they stillcomplian look at Angelina Jolie for example, she has it all, beauty? Wealth? Fame? Kids and a husband?Yet she is full of insecurities and is currently suffering from a weight problem, yet there are others who are blessed with far less and they are more content and grateful with their lives and they Thank God every day for the little blessings in their lives..So happiness is relative and yes for me the journey to happiness has to be fun..Like I am getting a buzz in building my business,it is fun and one day I can reap the material rewards from it..now I am enjoying investing in my team and getting to know many good people out if it..I am even developing friendships through my business and this is bringing me great happiness..I have invites now from Canada too!

True Yanjiren, when you follow the desires of your heart with absolute content, when building your bussiness does not stress you, when everything you do falls in place and rewards your efforts then you keep getting the dividens of happiness both as a journey and destintion. Thanks for your oppinion.

Happiness is a journey and not a destination..it just comes and goes in ones life and cannot expect happiness to retain with us all time..everytime when we accomplish something or some of our close ones acheive something we feel happy but for a short time and something unexpected happen and ruins our happiness..but we should be focussed towards a positive attitude towards life to take both happiness and sadness not to create too much of pressure on us.. rated + for your discussions...hope i brought some happiness as smiles in your face through this...

Happiness is a journey not a destination "for a long time it seemed to me that liffe was about to begin- real life. but there was always an obstacle in the way, somthing to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be serve, a debt to be paid. at last it was dawn on me that these obstacle were my life. this perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. happiness is the way. so treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.

Yes, it seems to me, different people approach happiness differently, craftcatcher above finds happiness from the perspective of internal content of an individual with life- that makes happiness a static thing within the individual, I have always seen happiness from your perspective jcyap888-that it is a relentless journey, because when i seem to have arrived, i still see happiness drifting away like a mirage and must pursue it!

How many people can truly say that they are happy? many may say they are more fulfilled than happy. Some will say they are happy in some aspects of their lives and some are not. for me, I think the answer is both, it is a journey and a destination. Why so? Just from what you said, you make goals, you attain it, youre happy. But just that alone, it was a journey a crisscrossing winding path before it lead you to attain your goals, hence a destination ws reached. But, we then set new goals, new parameters for our lives. So its all a set of journeys and destinations, and when we sit down to reflect on all of this, it is then we decide whether our lives really meant something, and if it does, then you will definitely be happy. :)

Happiness can be both regarded as a journey and a destination. You know, in the river of our life we can enjoy different happiness and when we think of the happiness that we once had, we will still be plunged into it. Happiness is also a destination. For example, we have set an aim for us to reach. Once the aim is reached, it shows that our happiness has reached to the destination as well. In a word, they are both related to each other.

Father Alfred say happiness is a journey."Happiness is a journey, not a destination.Dance as though no one is watching you.Love as though you have never been hurt before.Sing as though no one can hear you.Live as though heaven is on earth. And the full text as following:For a long time is seemed to me that life was about to begin real life. But there was always some obstacles in the way, something to be gotton through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served,a dept to be paid.At last ,it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.Happiness is a journey ,not a destination.

Hello academic2. I think happines isn't a journey, it's a destination. Everyone in the world want to be happy, but happines is a relative standing. I think the real happines can't be founded or touched here, on the Earth.
