the worst forest fires......................

The last 2 days almost all my country is burning.We have so many forest fires that is hard to say how much exactly.The only sure is that until this moment 44 people died,the number will be higher for sure,many people lost them houses,them grounds.....Between the die people they are children also.Until now they try to evacuated many villages to avoid bigger tragedy .
I don't know what kind of people can to such things because the sure is the fires was*criminal act*.
The firefighters,airplanes,helicopters etc. can't put the fires under control ans as the night coming and the help from the air will be impossible again I afraid tomorrow we gonna see even worst things.
Is too sad you sit and watch all these and can't do anything....

hoo yes i look in tv, also in italy in sicily there are that problem.....
are very dangerous and fool but i think are aproblem of money.
there are a person that for more money kill a nature and person, the world are fool
i'm very sorry.........

In Chicago there was the worst storm ever, many houses are full of water and more storms are coming.
We have severe weather warnings everyday....

It is really very disappointing and sad to read that lots of property and valuable things are getting destroyed to due to 'fire'. It becomes really difficult to save property etc. when fire broke out anywhere. I hope by the time, I write this, this would have been come under control.

Are you allright? I am sorry I am late in asking you this. Were anyone of your friends or relatives affected? I heard on BBC that the Government is trying to compensate people who lost their livelihood. Do you think the compensation is high enough for them to rebuild their life? Glad to know you are okay. I was bored with mylot thats why I stayed away. I am going to spend only a small time here so I dont get bored. But this site gives me information on people of different countries.thats the attraction of this site not to mention the firends it has given me.Regards

It is so sad to hear of the casualties from greece and to see your beautiful country burning like it has. Hopefully now the fires are finally becoming less and people can try and start to rebuild their lives again.
I was in Crete during the 3 days of mourning for those that have lost their lives, it was very moving to see how a whole country can be touched by a disaster like this.

We have been fortunate with the dry weather here in mINNESOTA THAT WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY LARGE FIRES. a FEW YEARS AGO THE bOUNDARY wATER aREA HAD BURNED THOUSANDS OF ACRES. iT'S ALL GROWING BACK NOW. i HOPE THINGS GET BETTER FOR YOUR AREA AS FAR AS THE FIRES AND ALL. gOD BE WITH THESE PEOPLE IN THIS TIME OF NEED.

Yes indeed and my parents were right in the thick of it too. I had to pohone them a few times a day to find out if they were o.k and their house hadn';t burnt to a sinder. I am glad to report that they had rains and that they didn't get caught up in it but so many other lives were lost for no reason. Those thugs should get life mprisonement or electric chair for murdering over 70 people!

I just now got a phone call from my parents Aidonia..they may have to evacuate their house..I just made a post about it..They are in Petalidi, Messinia...in the Peloponese and my dad was almost in tears. They are not young people any more and my dad built that house it was their pride and joy..just because one malaka wants to sabotage the elctions they have to suffer..nearly fifty people have lost their lives because of those skatofatses..na pane sto diaolo then leoego? they have no respect for their country or human life..I am so angry..

Are you all right? This is terrible. It is one thing when there are fires like this that was caused naturally, but to have these fires set on purpose...Why would anyone do such a thing? What is to be gained by it? It's sad to think that setting fires like this on purpose is someone's idea of "fun"
