Well I think you should go to the hospital because you can get very sick from ant bites. I dont want to scare you but its better to be safe then sorry. You are have a reaction from the bite so please go and get some medical help. And let me know. Dont make me have to yell at you!

Hi angel_of_charm! I guess, the rainy season is making them come inside our houses nowadays because I see them too invading our house. I guess, they are seeking shelter in higher grounds and dry surfaces. I have been spraying a lot lately because my hubby is allergic to ant bites. He gets feverish when he gets bitten by the big ants with big heads. Take care and have a nice day!

Oh I used caladryl to ease the itching. But if you are like my hubby, you better have a check up for allergies to insect bites. Take care.

Well, i live in india, these ants cockroaches and mosquitoes have been a part and parcel of our life ... slowly we got immune to their bites and we dont complain about ant bites lol .. infact we think god made it bite us (so silly ,eh?) Coming to the topic, Ant secretes some strong acid thru it's mouth when it bites, that causes the itch and rash... so try washing it off, applying cold creams and coconut oil ... basically u must not touch those bite marks for prevention of spreading of the itch sensation ... so pur something cold on the spot(ice must do the job) and distract ur mind from the itch sensation.

Sounds like you got some great replies on what to do with the itching. I wanted to address instead your moms ants - has she tried spraying vinegar. We keep a clean house but we were getting some ants in the living room near the front door. I started spraying vinegar and they're no longer around! If they come back, I spray again.

Hi dear I am sorry that I am replying so late to this discussion .. I am a bit late.. well how are you .. I hope ok. You should put turmeric powder on the place where the ants are coming. They hate turmeric powder's smell and they will soon vanish from there. Just a little bit of turmeric powder can do wonders and make them away from your house :)

yes you can use petroleum jelly, but for other bite it wont help, for home remedy you can use lime or calamansi! it will stop itch.
