I prefer my pizza warm and toasty, not char-broiled or burnt!

Tonight, I was warming up a piece of day old pizza on my George Foreman grilling machine. The first two pieces were practically perfect, but when I put another piece on the grill, I forgot to set the timer before I left the room. Needless to say, about fifteen minutes later, there was a strange smell coming from the kitchen. Luckily for me the grilling machine doesn't actually burn food, but it did dry it out and turn it into toast! So, I ended up with rock hard day old pizza for supper! Three bites later and back into the refrigerator it went. I tried to give it to my spouse but he got the idea of what was wrong with it early on and gave me a wry look! So, now it's going to sit in there until I get too hungry and can't find anything else. So, have you ever over-cooked your pizza and still had to eat it anyway? If you over-cooked your pizza, or warmed it up too much and it got soggy in the microwave, would you throw it out or just offer it to someone else?

I'd probably throw it out. I love undercooked pizza, not overcooked.

I would give it to my dogs, and find something else to eat. But I'm not as addicted to pizza as you are. :) I've never tried heating it up on the grill, is it good that way? I usually heat it up in the oven, or just eat it cold. I don't think I would have even been able to take three bites if I had turned pizza into toast. I would have probably taken one bite, offered it to my husband (you never know, he might like it, right? lol). If my husband didn't like it, our dogs would have got it in their bowl.

Yuk—No I would not give it to someone else- I take that back- I’d give it to the dog- If I won’t eat it- I won’t make someone else eat it- I do not like warmed up pizza- I prefer it cold after the original time we eat it- Otherwise it gets soggy- I have never tried the George Foreman grill- I wonder if I’d like that.

Oh, I hate when that happens. I can't stand to lose out on a piece of pizza and so I have to be really careful when I cook them b/c Hubby likes his crispy and I like mine soft but not crispy. HAVE A GOOD DAY!! AT PEACE WITHIN

What I do with my left over pizza is eat it cold! I love it better cold than hot! But they say not to do it but I haven't gotten sick yet!

My husband has a great way to heat it up. I always tell him i cant do it a well as he does so at least the is one thing he can SERVE me!! The trick is to sprinkle a little bit of water on the crust. Using a piece of foil to protect your toaster or oven from grese drippings, wrap the upper end of it just around the crust, so the cheese and sauce pionty part is exposed, but crust is covered. (It will look sorta like a sled) Heat on 350 degrees, untill almost warmed, the romve the crust tent and warm till a crisp as you like. It comes out almost better than when fresh!!

I did that the other day with chicken. The dinger went off and I was on my way in to shut it off and the phone rang. I forgot all about it. Well hubby's dinner was a few minutes late and I ended up eating chicken jerky. I found I actually liked it! LOL

I never overheat it. I'm too meticulous for that. Or maybe because I've done it enough times to know how to do it right.
