We were taught by our parents at a young age to devote Sunday for church. We also go together when I was young. but now that I got older, I make all sorts of excuses not to go to church every Sunday, and I do feel very guilty about it. I count in my finger the number of Sundays I went to church this year. I hope to go to church this coming Sunday. Pray for me.

just remember christ does not live in buildings he is every where he himself said (Matt.6:6. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. )
b34ing in a church does not make one a christian just as being in a garrage does not make you a car!

Other than for helping out my mum in law with something back in the spring and a wedding and a baptism (both a few yrs back) I've not been in a church in YRS...I've been invited in the past to attend services but being that I'm not of that faith anymore there really isnt any point so I politely decline any offers

First of all, I want to correct a misconception about the term "going to church". The word "church" comes from the Greek word "ekklesia" which means the called-out congregation. This means that the church is an assembly of Christians who were called out from the world to God and thus is not a physical building (chapel). The church is made up of you and me. I understand that what you mean by going to church is to attend church meetings.
Christians referred to as sheep has a life with an innate need of flocking together. The only reason a sheep is isolated or separated from other sheep is when it is sick or lost. That is why Christians would normally feel incomplete (or feel something is missing) without being in fellowship with other fellow Christians.
Grace, mercy, and peace be with you.

Hi Rick,
The last time I went to church was this past Sunday. I go every Sunday and Wednesday. I sang a solo this past Sunday and was at both services. It is a great honor and priviledge to worship and praise God in His house. I look forward to going to church, having fellowship with other Christians, to learn and strengthen my faith and to encourage others in their walk with the Lord.
Ask God to help you to get up and go to church. Get excited about worshipping Him. He is GOD and His love for you is so great! He has wonderful plans for you and there is so much you can do in the church with your talents and skills. Use them for His glory!
God bless.

I try to go at least once a month. growing up we went to church weekly as a family and it was great, afterward we would go out for breakfast and enjoy the day together. Now everyone is either gone or busy and I hate going alone. No excuses, just don't go, lol. Anyway God is in my heart and I can and do speak to hiim often!

I am one of those who believes that one should go to church not because one feels that it is an obligation. I myself isn't religious in going to church every Sunday. HOwever, I go to church even if it isn't a Sunday. I go to church because I NEED to be there and I need to Worship God in its highest form.
