Why are some of the most popular discussions ones such as Day 5: Ive made $456.79? and I earned $2.99 yesterday how bout you? I know I have some of these going and they do well... But why? Do people feel its a competition?

I think it's because people want to know the potential for earning money, like how much they could do. The problem is that they're not asking the right questions. They're not asking how to do it and actually doing it, I've read your tips and employed them and expect to be on myLot til they quit paying, but I suspect some of these people so interested in earning won't be here for long, they're looking for get rich quick, not some extra money for fun. I think my fiance is just glad I'm not on MySpace so much anymore, lol....this is money and fun, shoot I'm here for the long haul...

I gave up on the internet making me rich, that's just not going to happen, so this is fun....and even to make some pocket change is groovy, I bought a nice Ralph Lauren purse a year ago for $10 on ebay so I don't need to get rich...I'll be happy for extra dough...

I think that people do that because they know that they will get many posts and visitors to their threads, which they are hoping will inturn increase their ratings and earnings.

I totally agree with what youre saying, i just find it frustrating that so many people are preoccupied with bragging and belittling and boasting and congragulating themself that they neglect to write discussions and posts of a more deep and meaningful nature...

People start these kinds of discussions because they know that they'll get a lot of responses and in turn earn more money.

I agree that people are competitive in nature, and they also want to know how mylot is working for everybody. I've quit posting my earnings because it floods mylot with discussions that are all very similar and take up room that could be used for better purposes. I like the fact you started a topic on this one, I wanted to do that myself but I checked if there were allready active topics on it; so that's how I ended up here. I allways try to prevent duplicate posts on the same topic :)
